#EndSARS Protest: Inmates Escape As Hoodlums Attack Oko Correctional Center In Benin, Edo State

At about 9:35am this morning, it was reported that oko correctional center, Benin was attacked by some suspected hoodlums in sequel to the #Endsars protest rading all over the country.

It was confirmed that the hoodlums freed some inmates, while vehicles and sales stores were set ablaze.

Another report has come to stay, resulting from the invasion of the protests, four police stations is said to have been set ablaze and other institutions, such as the Edo state office of DARR communications, operators of African independent television and Raypower was vandalized.

Further more,the hoodlums was said to be in possessions of arms with guns, matchets which so, prompt their actions to overshadowed the five arms guards of the correctional centre.

Possibly,the hoodlums can be visualize clearly as they are invading the Benin medium security prison in sapele, setting free some inmates.

In reactions to this scenario, the only decisions taking by the Edo state government is the imposement of a 24 hours curfew across the state which will take effect from 4pm, October 19, 2020. 

But this decision is said to be a naive one in contrary to the struggles of the protesters.
