Cassie Ventura Expresses Fear for Safety Ahead of Diddy Sentencing.

Singer Cassie Ventura has voiced concerns for her safety ahead of the sentencing of her ex-boyfriend, Sean “Diddy” Combs. In a victim impact statement submitted to the court, Ventura revealed she relocated her family from New York, fearing retaliation if Combs is released.

“I am so scared that if he walks free, his first actions will be swift retribution towards me and others who spoke up,” she wrote.

Prosecutors have recommended an 11-year sentence for Combs, who was convicted in July on two counts of transporting for prostitution. His defence team, however, is asking for a 14-month sentence, which could result in his immediate release due to time already served.

Ventura, the government’s key witness, testified over four days about enduring physical and sexual abuse during their 11-year relationship. She detailed how Combs forced her into drug-fuelled sex parties, allegations she reiterated in her letter, calling the trial “tremendously painful.”

Though the court cleared Combs of sex trafficking and racketeering charges, Ventura insisted the jury “failed to see” the full truth. “Victims and survivors will never be safe,” she wrote, urging the judge to consider her suffering in sentencing.

Meanwhile, Combs’ lawyers admitted he had domestically abused Ventura and other women but denied coercion. They argued he has changed during his time in custody, citing his mentorship of inmates and devotion to family. Ventura rejected this portrayal, writing: “He will always be the same cruel, power-hungry, manipulative man that he is.”
